Child Welfare Adoption Leadership Institute (CWALI)
Enhances the leadership skills of and promotes increased leadership opportunities for emerging leaders of color in public child welfare. CWALI is an 18-month leadership development experience which pairs participants with experienced mentors and utilizes individual and group learning experiences designed to support participants’ understanding and application of new leadership concepts and skills specifically within the context of public child welfare and adoption.
Individuals are invited to participate in CWALI after nomination by an experienced mentor within the participant’s public child welfare agency and completion of a short application process. CWALI cohorts are launched approximately every nine months, and mentor and participant recruitment is ongoing.
