Overview

In this video, we meet Lillian, a 26-year old Hispanic, Catholic, woman who has come to see Nurse Midwife Dana for an initial prenatal care visit at this health clinic.  She has recently lost her sales job and broken up with her boyfriend, the baby’s father. She has a five-year old daughter from a previous relationship. Following the death of her father, Lillian moved back to her hometown to be near her mother. She is now five months pregnant.  Lillian has begun to express doubts about her ability to raise another child on her own.  She would like to continue working toward her bachelor’s degree so that she can provide a better life for her daughter, but she does not know how she can do this and take care of another child.
