  As a result of this course, healthcare professionals and social workers will have a better understanding of birth father issues and considerations when working with patients facing an unplanned/unintended pregnancy.  Based on this understanding, professionals will have enhanced capacity to work with birth fathers by recognizing opportunities to engage the birth father and being prepared to offer appropriate information and referrals as birth fathers navigate the decision-making process.
